Animals Filter (“the app”) identifies the animal in a photo and shows information about it. We designed the app to collect as little as possible. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your data.
The app requests camera and photo-library permission only so you can capture or choose a picture of a pet to recognize. You choose each image; the app does not browse or upload your photo library on its own.
To identify the animal, the photo you select is sent over a secure connection to our AI provider, Anthropic (the Claude API), which analyzes the image and returns the description shown in the app. The image is used only to produce that result. Anthropic does not use data submitted through its API to train its models. If no network or AI key is available, the app falls back to on-device recognition (Apple Vision) and no image leaves your device.
If you purchase a subscription, the transaction is handled by Apple’s App Store and our subscription provider (RevenueCat). We receive only the entitlement status needed to unlock features — not your payment details.
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
